At the moment, we only make the newest Dolly: the Dolly Joy. But we’ve had other models in the past. Here’s how to recognize them:
🔹 Dolly Joy – our newest electric cargo bike with Bosch mid-drive motor, suspended front fork, and all the comfort you need. Available in 6 super fun colors: Black Graphite, Black Hazelnut, Black Matcha, Blue Raspberry, Pumpkin Pie, Very Berry.

🔹 Dolly V1 (classic model) – the original electric Dolly with a Bafang motor. Still loved but no longer available. This was our mix-and-match model, maybe you’ve seen a fun color combination on the street?

Usually from around 9 months, once your child can sit upright independently. And always securely strapped in, of course!

As soon as your child is secure in a baby seat or car seat, you can take them in the Dolly. Usually from around 3 months (with Maxi-Cosi adapter set). Always check first with your health visitor or pediatrician.

Spacious – yet still easy to maneuver!
The Dolly is about 268 cm long, 68.8 cm wide, and 115.3 cm high. Narrow enough for the city, spacious enough for your family.

The box fits three children – no problem! Got a fourth child? They can ride on a child seat at the back. Happy kids, happy you.

The Dolly is built strong and can carry a total of 225 kg (including yourself). This means:
– The rider can weigh up to 100 kg
– In the cargo box, you can fit up to 80 kg of children, items, or groceries
– The rear rack can carry another 27 kg (e.g., an extra child seat or bag)

What does that look like?
👧 your oldest (in a princess dress or Spiderman outfit)
👶 your baby (in the infant seat, with waffles in both hands)
🐻 a teddy bear the size of a Bengal tiger
🚲 a balance bike, because that’s “the scooter for the way back”
👜 a diaper bag, a shopping bag, and yet another shopping bag
🍌 snacks for the journey and snacks you’ll later find under the bench
📦 a mysterious package you still need to drop at the post office
🧑‍🦰 and you – in sneakers, raincoat, with the energy of half a cappuccino

Keep in mind: your motor and brakes like balance — so maybe avoid a brick on the right and nothing on the left 😉.

Around 54 kg without the battery. And yes, that sounds like a lot – but with the Bosch mid-drive motor (75 Nm), it feels light as a feather.

The toddler seat is suitable for toddlers up to about 85 cm tall or around 15 months old, depending on your child’s build. Once they outgrow it, they can switch to the bench seat.

It measures 94.2 cm long, 60 cm wide, and 50 cm deep. That’s about 193 liters of space for kids, cuddly toys, shopping bags, and all your other adventures.

Our boxes are made from double-walled PE plastic: lightweight, strong, UV-resistant, and easy to clean. And those rounded shapes? They’re not just for looks – they also make it extra safe and comfortable.

Many popular child seats fit on the Dolly Joy’s rear rack. Whether you’re carrying a 9-month-old mini passenger or a preschooler who puts on their helmet themselves – there’s something for every age. Here’s a list of seats that fit well and are often chosen by other Dolly riders:

Make an appointment at your Dolly store.

This is very important! Your car goes for its annual check-up too, especially to keep the warranty valid.
After around 500 kilometers, schedule the first check (the ‘service check’). After that, maintenance every 1500 km is a good idea. This keeps your Dolly running smoothly and avoids surprises. Easily book your service here.
Do you have a Dolly older than 3 years? Or have you skipped maintenance? Then schedule the premium service.

At the moment, about 4 to 5 weeks. But honestly, it can vary a bit. Ask your store for up-to-date information.

You get a 2-year warranty on your Dolly. And if you have an issue beyond that period, we’ll be happy to help you find a solution. Please contact your store.

With the standard 400 Wh battery, a Dolly Joy can typically cover 50 to 110 km. With the 545 Wh battery, it can reach up to 160 km – depending on wind, load in the box, assistance level, and terrain. Headwind, three kids, and groceries? It will consume a bit faster, but it will always support you reliably.

That depends on how you use it. On average, a Bosch PowerPack will last for many years – often around 5 to 7 years with normal use. You can choose between a 400 Wh or a larger 545 Wh battery. If you take good care of it (avoid fully draining it and charge it indoors), it will stay healthy for a long time.
